Playing It Long
Hello Magnificos :)
After missing in action for last two weeks, I’m back to business and taking on the game from where I left ;)
They say its better late than never !
So, I will kick start with an outfit post from my Diwali Delight bringing you the action from Day 2 :)
Day 2 outfit idea completely belonged to me unlike Day 1, where the good girl in me compromised on the in vogue ‘indo-western’ trend for my mom. I flaunted another trend of the season – ‘The Pakistani Style Long Kurta‘
The trend was recently spotted on the beautiful Parineeti Chopra in her latest release ‘Daawat-E-Ishq‘ where she plays the Lucknawi girl flaunting variety of Pakistani style long kurtis and anarkalis in vibrant hues.
I picked a lovely long cream kurta that had an exquisite lace detailing on it. It had a stand collar with contrast neon green border along the V-neckline extending to the chest. The neon green border had a lovely bronze and golden lace work that was again seen at the end of the long sleeves and on the hem area.
I was drooling over the material right from the day it entered my wardrobe but it was the end product that left me mesmerized. I really adore the tiny detailing that went in and the dress was stitched to the perfection by my aunt.
I paired it up with bronze shimmer ready-made churidar and finished up with nude heels. One can even team up these long kurtis with palazzo pants to add get more marks on the style quotient.
On the accessories front, It was all diamond & gold show – from the earrings and necklace to the bracelet.
The makeup was pretty natural and subtle – subtle chocolate brown smokey eyes teamed up with pink lips. To get the striking lip color, I fused two of my favorite lippies from the vanity – MAC Chatterbox with Loreal Paris Crazy Fuchsia. Finished the look with flush of pink on the cheeks using the new Loreal Paris Lucent Magique Blush in shade Fuchsia Flush.
