Lakme CC Cream
Hello Magnifico’s :)
Finally a review up on the blog and it feels ages ago I had done one. Today, I’m reviewing my current favorite product the Lakme CC Cream in shade Beige. Lately, I have found a bestie in Lakme as their products accompany me to office everyday :)
Funny thing about the Lakme CC Cream is I have couple of them in my arsenal – and I received both the tubes for free ;) How ?
One was received when I won CC Cream completion held on Niesha’s blog <3 and the other was a freebie presented to me post the Lakme Reinvent event on Vogue Night Out :) *Double Brownie*
Let’s found out why is this CC cream topping my current favorites chart ?
Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of makeup to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes. Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.
Price: Rs. 250
Quantity: 30 ml
My Experience with the Product:
Lakme CC Cream tube comes in a beige packaging with a silver colored cap which pops up a lavishing feel. The tube is housed in a pink colored carton. The freebie I received during Lakme Reinvent event was part of the Sabyasachi limited edition – Here the pink carton is outfitted in a black colored royal packaging as shown in the pictures below.
Cream has a lightweight texture which blends like a dream onto my skin. ;). I usually use foundation sponges to blend it but trust me I hardly have to put any efforts to blend it when I use my fingers plus its gets absorbed pretty quickly – Just perfect as I usually run late to office so this features works in my favor ;)
It offers me a lovely dewy finish which appears a bit whitish on application but settles down to my skin color on blending. I love the fact it doesn’t get cakey and haven’t caused any breakouts on my combination oily skin. Beige will suit medium to fair tone beauties but I still wish Lakme should have come up with another shade in between the Beige and Bronze. It offers me sheer to medium coverage. It doesn’t hide my blemishes but evens out beautifully with my complexion adding a glow to my skin. It also poses SPF 20 yet I do apply sunscreen beneath.
I have experienced its staying span for about 6-7 hours. I need to offer a touch up post 3-4 hours on my T-zone area as it gets a hint greasy but it’s not a major issue as I have a habit of touch up post lunch – Yes ! I do carry it to office. Well, that adds up another point – Travel friendly packaging ;)
- Gorgeous and Travel friendly packaging.
- Light texture.
- Blends effortlessly.
- Dewy finish.
- Evens out to my complexion.
- Sheer to Medium coverage.
- Didn’t cause any breakouts.
- Contains SPF 20.
- Affordable price tag.
On the Mediocre End:
- Available only in 2 shades (I wish there was a third one in between beige and bronze).
It’s a FOTD I created using the Lakme CC cream for the CC cream contest but didn’t send as I thought was not quite upto the mark – Hope you like it :)
My Final Take on the Product:
Lakme CC cream is lovely base for everyday makeup which blends and settles easily giving a beautiful dewy finish. I would surely recommend as it perfectly adjust to our fast moving life – were we hardly have a time for any makeup yet want to flaunt one ;).
Will I repurchase ? I have a couple of 30 ml tube so by the time I finish them Indian beauty market might be blessed with DD creams :P
