Revlon Colorstay Whipped Crème Makeup

I was on a hunt for a good foundation since the foundation I was using prior was not up-to its mark. I read about Revlon Colorstay Whipped Crème Makeup foundation in an article on Revlon official fan page – Honestly, I was impressed with their product claims. So a month ago, I went to Inorbit Mall, Malad (Mumbai) especially for the Revlon foundation. I loved the overall feel of the foundation and bought Warm Golden shade – which suits my combination skin tone.

I’m one happy buyer of the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Crème Makeup. I’m fully satisfied with the product. A funny note to this story is the very 1st foundation I used on me was a Revlon one which My mom had bought for her and I used to try it in her absence. Now after try n error methods on various brands. I ended up at Revlon again. :D

Today, I’m reviewing it to share my experience with the product.

My Experience with the Product:

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Crème Makeup comes in round shape glass jar packaging. The thick glass wall makes the container heavy. It has an air-tight screw cap with an extra white-color plastic lid inside to prevent the product from getting untidy. Yet a little amount of the product do emits out and settles around the rim. I loved the packaging as you can take advantage of the full net quantity. :)

Foundation is in a thick liquid creamy texture. Since it is a cream foundation – it goes across normal, dry and combination skin types. Warm golden is a perfect match for those with fair to medium skin tones. It goes well with my combination skin giving me a natural feel. It gives medium to full coverage – depends on one’s application whether to apply light or dense. I have found that it doesn’t fully covers the problem areas on a medium coverage, so I had to go with a dense application.

It blends very well without much effort. One can use a brush or finger-tip to blend the foundation. I prefer fingers tough as it glides smoothly and gives an even finish. It gives you a matte finish leaving back beautiful flawless skin.It is very light on the skin. It keeps the overall look very natural once it settles down. During winters I didn’t need any setting powder but as summers are coming closer – after 5-6 hours it leaves my skin a bit dewy (but not oily) so sometimes I do feel a need of setting powder. It contains SPF 20 as well.

I fully agree to their claim of 24 hrs stay – +1. I wore it for about 12+ hours and it stayed on wonderfully! It didn’t flake but faded a bit under hot and humid conditions. Plus it can be easily removed with help of a good make-up remover. I finally found a good foundation. :)
